Sweet and Sour Meat Sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- Bring to a boil.
- Add:
- ¾ cup chopped celery
- 1 large onion
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- 1 clove garlic pressed through garlic press.
Simmer for awhile, then thicken with 2 or 3 tablespoons cornstarch and a bit of cold water to make thin paste. Stir while adding cornstarch. Use your favorite meatball recipe. Make them into walnut sized balls. Cook them, then add meatballs to sauce and heat. Serve with rice.
